A terminology change, such as the change from AI to SI, may have unintended consequences. Or perhaps intended.
As I noted in May, the adoption of the use of the acronym “AI,” coupled with the adoption of two-letter country codes for Internet and other uses, resulted in a windfall for Anguilla, which possessed the suddenly desirable country code “ai.”
Fast forward to 2026, when President Donald Trump promoted the replacement term “Super Intelligence,” or SI.
Yes.
Which is bad news for Anguilla, but good news for…Slovenia.

Ah, windfalls. Now it’s quite possible that the fact that Trump’s third and current wife was born in Slovenia is a mere coincidence. Maybe.
